FUNDRAISING EVENTS 2017-2018

WE HAVE ARRANGED A SERIES OF EVENTS TO RAISE FUNDS TO HELP COVER THE COST OF NEW WINDOW SILLS WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THE PRESERVATION OF OUR CHURCH AND MAINTAIN AVAILABILITY OF OUR HALLS FOR THE USE OF THE CHURCH AND COMMUNITY. SEE EVENT DETAILS BELOW.

ON MARCH 10TH AT 3.00PM WE ARE TO HAVE A BEETLE DRIVE AND GAMES IN THE MAIN HALL REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.  Proceeds will go towards the Sills Fund.

A CAR TREASURE HUNT WILL BE ORGANISED FOR ONE SATURDAY IN MAY 2018.

ON JUNE 23RD WE WILL HAVE A MIDSUMMER BRASS BAND CONCERT IN OUR HALLS, GIVEN BY GAWTHORPE BRASS BAND AND LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS. MORE DETAILS LATER.

Past events

SEPTEMBER 2ND 2017 BETWEEN 2 & 4 PM WE HAD A LOVELY TIME IN REV.  BELL’S MANSE GARDEN.  Refreshments were served and money raised went to the sills fund.

OCTOBER 28TH 2017 at 7.00 pm TREBLE CLEF ENTERTAINED AT ALLHALLOWGATE CHURCH WITH REFRESHMENTS IN THE INTERVAL.   ADMISSION WAS £10.00 by ticket or on the door. (SEE POSTER  FOR FULL DETAILS   TrebleClefConcert Poster PDF)

“We had an excellent Concert given by Treble Clef who delivered a very varied programme of songs which kept us all on the edge of our seats.  The Treble Clef ladies’ generosity meant we raised £650.00 net total for the Sills Fundraising effort. Thanks must also go to the Church Ladies who baked and served refreshments.”     Robbie. ☺🎶

We had a lovely  concert and enjoyed refreshments afterwards. The total money raised was an amazing £1250 for the sills fund.

The concert raised approx another £850.00 for the sills fund.

ON SATURDAY JANUARY 20th 2018 at 2pm  WE ENJOYED A DELICIOUS AFTERNOON TEA IN ALLHALLOWGATE CHURCH HALL ACCOMPANIED BY PALM COURT MUSIC ON THE PIANO FEATURING ACCOMPLISHED PIANIST ANDREW ROBERTS. THE HALL WAS DECORATED ACCORDINGLY.  We raised a further £625 for the Church Sills Fund.

ON FRIDAY FEBRUARY 16TH 2018 at 7.30PM  “CAPITAL CHORUS BARBERSHOP GAVE A CONCERT”. THERE WAS  CLOSE HARMONY SINGING, UKELELE SING ALONG, COMEDY SONGS MONOLOGUE,  AND AMAZING PROFESSIONAL JAZZ PIANIST ERROL HUISH DIRECT FROM LONDON.  REFRESHMENTS WERE SERVED IN THE INTERVAL. IT PROMISED TO BE A FUN PACKED EVENING AND IT CERTAINLY TURNED OUT TO BE SO. PROCEEDS WERE IN AID OF THE CHURCH SILLS FUND.  ABOUT 70 PEOPLE ATTENDED RAISING JUST OVER £700.00.

A RAFFLE RAISED EXTRA FUNDS FOR NOREEN’S KIDS OF ROMANIA.
